George saves the World by Lunchtime
This is a great book by the education team at the Eden project. Colourful, engaging without being preachy - good for 4 years and up.

The Lorax
I bought this for my son and think it's a great book to start children on environmentalism and sustainable development. The disappearing Truffula Trees and Bar-ba-loots demonstrate how we are all interdependant on each other. The cartoon illustrations are fun and not too heavy.

An Inconvenient Truth
This is an amazing film - it made me want to rush out and buy it for all my friends and family. I think the title is very clever as it really is inconvenient that climate change is the result of human activity. The scientific facts are put forward in a way that is easy to understand and what is also easy is to understand is that we have to act now and this will mean changing the way we live. However as I am increasingly finding as I am changing the way I live this has many hidden benefits.
